Guys, I'm not sure where the sun has gone but in the last few weeks I've had to put the culottes away and replace them with full length trousers. I'm not too angry though as look at them; they're kind of great, right?  I recently spent the day with Elvi where I styled two beautiful ladies as part of a competition. These wide leg trousers were one of the pieces I was able to use and I instantly fell in love with them. I am big on pleats, as you can see from this post and this post and I love that these trousers are a different colour to the usual black/grey/blue that we are normally subjected to. Rust/burnt tobacco is such a sexy colour. It is SO underrated and I need more of this colour in my life.  Wide leg trousers are an excellent go-to if you're sick of your jeans or skirts. Ever worn something, someone's commented on your outfit (in a negative way) and then that outfit/garment seems less special and your mood is altered for the day? Someone made a negative comment about this jacket when I wore it on my 31st and it knocked me for a whole 30 seconds and then I thought; screw you, I'll wear what I want! It's a stunning jacket, how I styled the outfit was KILLER and I looked damn good! I've been wearing this kimono non stop and I hope you like how I styled it in this post. A strong AW16 trend that cannot go unnoticed is the pleated skirt. If you haven't seen them online/instore/on your bestie or all over your Instagram newsfeed; then where the hell have you been? I find that these skirts are so  easy to dress up or down. They are really versatile and if you haven't invested in one, I suggest you give one a go; I don't think you'll be disappointed! The most common way I have seen these skirts styled is with a pair of flats, brogues or even trainers work and worn with a classic, round neck jumper. It's such a simple, chic look and one that I think I will be channeling come Christmas Day! If you want to vamp up the pleated skirt and wear it to the office during the day and then to the Christmas party in the evening then simply glam up the footwear and accessories! For me, pinstripes used to be synonymous with fuddy duddy suits, the natural choice for mobsters and a favourite for Hollywood actors such as Clark Gable. I never, ever saw the appeal of this fabric and I sure as hell didn't think I'd ever wear it. Fast forward to 2016 and low and behold, thanks to the cyclical ways of fashion; pinstripes have been resurrected and they are once again, super cool. I can always guarantee that Elvi will feed me with stand out, fashionable pieces and yet again they have nailed it with this Pinstripe Jacket and Culotte co-ord. I recently had to style myself for a magazine shoot (which will be released in January) and thanks to Elvi, who sent me a gigantic box of their transitional pieces; I looked incredible on the shoot! I shot this look a little while back but then September happened & it just went a little crazy for me. Now that it's a little quieter and my LFW looks are all posted; here is my delightful, fringey, pinky look. Take one statement tassel-tastic jacket and team it with casual daytime pieces and you've got a winning look (in my opinion).  I love taking a really 'wow factor' item and dressing it down. This Elvi tassel jacket sadly sold out pretty fast but you can still find the skirt version here. Lets hope they restock it! For an alternative look; try a sequin jacket, slogan T-shirt and jeans. I also love styling a glam kimono jacket in this same fashion.
